Four more sentenced in Dane County drug trafficking case
A Sun Prairie woman received a three-year federal sentence as prosecutors announced additional punishments in a regional drug case.
Federal prosecutors in Wisconsin announced four additional prison sentences in an investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in Dane County.
Alisha Lavine, 36, of Sun Prairie received 36 months in prison on Sept. 16 for a conspiracy involving fentanyl and methamphetamine. Treagir Sander, 27, of La Crosse was sentenced to 78 months on Sept. 15. Kyle Haag, 40, of Madison received 75 months on Sept. 22, and Waylon Degenhardt, 44, of Boscobel received 24 months on Oct. 1. Each sentence was tied to drug distribution conspiracy offenses described by federal prosecutors.
Broader investigation Authorities began investigating the organization in early 2024 and identified Jamar Purnell as its leader. Prosecutors said the four recently sentenced defendants participated in distribution activities.
Earlier sentences in the same investigation included 20 years for Jamar Purnell, 11 years for Keean Moore, 15 years for Jimmie Leuaxay and shorter terms for other defendants. In all, 16 people were charged, according to the federal statement; several others had entered guilty pleas and awaited sentencing.
The case involved federal and local investigators, including the Drug Enforcement Administration and an ATF task force. The allegations and case history above are attributed to the prosecutor's account.
