With the 2026 spring golf season in full swing across Wisconsin, the DeForest Norskies boys’ golf team has carded another busy week on the fairways.

From April 22 through April 28, the Norskies took on four invitationals. That busy schedule will only continue with May in sight.

The Norskies started the action on Wednesday, April 22, taking on their first Badger-Large Conference Mini-Meet of the season at the Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove.

Out of the eight teams, DeForest finished sixth overall with a team score of 324. Oregon won the invite with a score of 298, while Waunakee placed second with a score of 302.

Leading the Norskies on the day was Blake Lovick. Lovick, a senior, shot a team-high 78, good for 12th place.

Right behind Lovick was junior Nolan Hottmann, who placed 16th individually with an 80, while senior Parker Bilderback shot an 81 to place 19th.

Rounding out the scoring for the Norskies was an 85 from sophomore Connor Jones, followed by a 90 from sophomore Kolby Herschleb.

DeForest didn’t have much time, if any, to waste, heading over to Watertown Country Club to participate in the 2026 Watertown Invitational on Thursday, April 23.

DeForest used a team score of 307 to place second overall in the eight-team field. The Norskies trailed first-place Arrowhead by just six strokes, who won the invitational, thanks to a score of 301.

For DeForest, the man of the hour was Parker Bilderback. The senior shot a 70, which cleared first-place honors by three strokes.

In addition to Bilderback’s strong day, the Norskies had two other athletes shoot under 80, with Lovick carding a 77 and sophomore Nolan O’Connor shooting a 78.

Meanwhile, Nolan Hottmann wasn’t too far behind, shooting an 82, while Connor Jones completed the scoring with an 89 for the second-place Norskies.

With the weekend off, DeForest would get right back into action on Monday, April 27, where they took on the 2026 Kohler Blue Bomber Invitational at the Blackwolf Run in Kohler.

In a loaded field with 18 teams in attendance, DeForest fared well, placing 10th with a team score of 353. Lake Geneva Badger won the invite with a score of 327.

At Blackwolf Run — a course infamously dubbed as one of the more difficult, albeit prestigious, golf courses in the state — the Norskies were led by Parker Bilderback, who scored a team-high 86.

Nolan Hottmann finished one stroke behind Bilderback with an 87, while Nolan O’Connor finished right behind Hottmann with an 89. Blake Lovick shot a 91 and Connor Jones shot a 95 to round out the scores for DeForest.

24 hours later, DeForest would take on another loaded 18-team invitational, this time, at UW-Madison’s University Ridge in the 2026 Nevada Bob’s Showcase.

In the 18-team field, DeForest placed ninth with a score of 322. Middleton won the showcase event with a score of 296 — the only team that shot under 300 on the day.

Parker Bilderback paced the Norskies on Tuesday, shooting a team-high 78, with Connor Jones and Nolan Hottmann three strokes behind him, both shooting an 81.

Meanwhile, Nolan O’Connor shot an 82, while Blake Lovick shot a 94 to complete the scoring for the Norskies.

Coming up for DeForest, the Norskies will head to a meet on Thursday, April 30, in Watertown before taking on an invitational on Friday, May 1, in Portage. On Saturday, May 2, DeForest will head to LaBelle Golf Club (near Oconomowoc) before taking on the MACC Fund Invitational on Monday, May 4, at the Blackhawk Country Club.
