Stan Hinkley, an owner of The Bloomin' Farm at 3562 WI-19 west of Sun Prairie, is working to move the historic 7.8-acre property toward cooperative ownership.

The plan calls for collecting 4,000 prospective member pledges before inviting participants to invest $500 each. Hinkley hopes to add 3,000 more members later, for a total of up to 7,000. The source describes this as a proposal in progress, not an established ownership total.

Seasonal operations A soft opening was scheduled for April 18, with the greenhouse and market opening May 2. Spring offerings include hanging baskets, flowers and landscaping plants. Hinkley reported that his team had prepared 2,952 hanging baskets and more than 60,000 plants and flowers.

The planned summer selection includes flowers, produce and honey, followed by pumpkins, mums, grasses, maple syrup and other autumn products. The farmhouse offers morning coffee and cinnamon rolls, and the property includes animals that families can view.

Hinkley also described overnight accommodation for cooperative members and flower-vase promotions around Mother's Day. Published operating hours were 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The dates and offerings reflect the original seasonal announcement.
